Dear Severn Families,

Drop off and pick up

This is a reminder that if your child is not on the bus and you are dropping your child(ren) off, please do so between 9 to 9:15 am. School day begins at 9:15 am. Our school parking lot will be closed at that time.  Please ensure you find an alternate location on side streets (on Arkell Str,  Chambers Str)  to park and walk your child to the drop-off points. There is no parking allowed in the front of the school. This is the same process for pick up which is at 3:45 pm. 

Please do not move the orange pylons that are across the parking lot at arrival and the end of the day. They are there so families and students can walk through the parking lot safely. If you have parked in the lot you will have to wait for a staff member to move them when arrival and dismissal are over.

Breakfast Program

Our breakfast program will begin very soon.  We welcome Ms. Melissa who is also our office assistant as our Breakfast Monitor this year! 

Please ensure your child has a great breakfast to start the day off right, as well as extra snacks if they get hungry throughout the day. 

Fill out this form if you would like your child to participate in the breakfast program. Our breakfast program will be served in the classroom at the beginning of every school day. This is an optional program that our school is fortunate to provide with assistance from the Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE), a registered charity delivering programs to students across Ottawa. The ONFE School Breakfast Program is supported by the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), the National School Food Policy, City of Ottawa, corporate partners and individual donors. 

The breakfast club is optional and free. We ask you to sign up so that we can be aware of how many students will be participating in the program and be aware of any food allergies. 

Meet the Educator/Family picnic

Join us for our annual "Meet the Educator" evening on Thursday, September 25, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with your child's teacher and learn more about the exciting year ahead. Following the meet-and-greet, we'll head out to the yard for a fun, community-wide picnic.

Don't forget to bring a blanket and some delicious food for your family to enjoy. We can't wait to see you there!
