Choosing Recipes

All types of recipes: main courses, side dishes, appetizers, breakfasts, soups, salads, snacks, smoothies, desserts, etc.

Choose recipes you love to make for special occasions or your "go-to" favourites you use often. We also welcome easy recipes that kids can make by themselves (with adult supervision).

Yes, absolutely! This is a wonderful opportunity to share multicultural and international recipes within our school community.

Yes. You can send us a link to an online recipe or a photo/scan of a recipe from a cookbook or magazine. Let us know in the email if you recommend any modifications to the recipe and we can reflect those changes.

Recipes themselves (as a list of ingredients and preparation instructions) are not copyrightable. Our publisher has confirmed that there's no problem including recipes from websites, cookbooks, and magazines.

We gladly welcome recipes that are vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, low carb, etc. However, there are no requirements to be included in the Cookbook.

Submitting Recipes

Note: Deadline for recipe submission has passed

Email your recipes to us at [email protected].

You can type the recipe into the email, attach it as a document, send as a link to a cooking website or video, or attach a photo/scan of a handwritten, cookbook, or magazine page. It's totally your choice!

Not at all! Simply take a photo of your printed or handwritten recipe and email it to us. One of our parent or youth volunteers will happily type it up for inclusion in the Cookbook.

We have room to publish 2 recipes per student or staff member. Some families have sent only one and others have sent us extras, in case we need more in certain categories.

We collected recipes from the school community in multiple rounds from late January to early April. The final deadline for submitting a recipe was Friday April 5th 2024.

We enjoy reading your submissions and we personally reply to each email we receive. We also sent a confirmation email to all submitters on April 4th 2024.

If you sent us a recipe and did not receive anything back, please email us ASAP at [email protected] so we can ensure that your contribution is included in the Cookbook.
